 Furthermore, Heartkids materially supports individual families and people in difficult situation financially. Some have leprosy, AIDS, Polio and/or are homeless. Some are not even able to obtain basic food. Severely ill people are marginalised and become outcasts of society, mainly because of lack of knowledge about these illnesses or because of fear of infection. Therefore, they desperately need help going beyond their normal family system. For example, we construct huts before the monsoon or finance hospital stays.
